Happy weekend everyone! Have you been to the new Vincom yet? Our guest blogger today tells us more about this mall and this afternoon, we are going to visit this new charmer too. Haha! Yes, we are quite convinced by her post already.
I met Jen few months ago although I have been following her on Twitter and her blog for more than a year now. When she shared her Gangnam Style Video, I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing- that was a big WOW!  She’s undeniably a cool person. She blogs here: Sites’n Bites
I am honored to be doing my first ever guest post on herdailydigest blog! I’ve been living in Ho Chi Minh City for three years and the landscape of this amazing city is constantly changing.

The newest addition to the shopping scene is Vincom Center A on 171 Dong Khoi & 116 Nguyen Hue in District 1! Vincom Center A officially opened on October 10th and is having grand opening sales through the weekend. I’m very excited that Nguyen Hue Street is popping up with new places like Vincom Center and the upcoming Times Square Project as both are walking distance to my work.

Boasting six floors with three of the floors underground, there are many retail stores and eats to try. Banana Republic, Ermenegildo Zegna, and Sisley are just a few of the exciting clothing stores opening in Vietnam for the first time. Level 1, 2 and 3 are occupied with the premium and luxury brands appealing to shopaholics of all ages. While the ladies are shopping on the first three floors, the gents can go to basement 1 to peruse Canon, Samsung, Halo, and other electronic stores stocked with the latest tech goodies.

After all the walking and shopping, go to basement 2 and 3 to try a variety of delectable eats. I can’t wait to try Banana Leaf, a restaurant featuring popular Southeastern Asian dishes with a cool interior design vibe.

Another place I am excited for is Bi Bi Go, a healthy fast food Korean restaurant, where you can custom design your own Korean bibimbap (mixed rice) with many different toppings to choose from. There are a multitude of desserts, coffee, and tea shops to choose from to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I would say about 75% of the stores are open, and they are still working out the kinks with the ventilation and aircon. It is still definitely worth checking out over the weekend if you are nearby the area. The design of the shopping center reminds me of major shopping centers in Singapore and Seoul that utilize basement floors to make the most out of the space. For the visiting travelers, Vincom Center A also has a five star luxury hotel called Vinpearl Luxury Ho Chi Minh City on Levels 5 through 8, which is centrally situated to all the sights and nightlife of District 1.
