I find this very straight forward. The signage is intimidating. I didn’t see people going in and i didn’t try to get inside. Although,I saw a freezer with ice cream outside their door which I thought was also part of their menu. On the other hand, I’m happy to know people here are open-minded and are practicing safe sex. I saw the first shop last year in hcmc, now they have more than 4 so far i have seen.Thought the same, teach us but don’t try to stop us, “responsible people”
Hi – i was in Vung Tay last week, for a couple of days, never saw this sign. My wife and I do practice safe sex! ha ha ha!
Russell
Misspelled in English but clear in VNese. Saigon has dozens of tiny safe sex stores, mostly the same companies (as in branches). What if the govt subsidized them by promoting safe sex literature there too?
Yeah, they have a condom chain store in Saigon called Nui Lua, which means Volcano! Pretty cool that they are that a bit progressive in matters regarding sex.
@ Anita- it’s good that people got access to it. HIV isn’t new. Prevention is better than cure, as they say. The more shops, the better.
@ Russell- haha. Do I need to confess too?
@ Tomo- I really thought I was wrong with condom and comdom. Thanks for pointing that out. And also, Sex Education is vital. If you think the government is pushing for this, it is just right.
@ Tyler- I haven’t seen the shops in Saigon but ‘Volcano’is catchy. You are right, they are becoming progressive in this aspect. Also,I think the younger generation is well-informed thus more careful.
